The fireworks (7-08)

This was Joshua's first experience with fireworks. He just watched with big eyes for the first few. Then he started getting into it and pointing and saying "ohhhh" with each new firework. Ryan was nervous for the first few and didn't like the loud noise, but he quickly warmed up and started stating what color each firework was and saying "I love that one". Justin was off with his cousins watching them and didn't want to come sit with us. Oh my, how old and independent he is getting.

Swimming on the 4th of July (7-08)

We went swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Goodey's house between the parade and going to see the fireworks. Justin was treading water and swimming under the water really well. Ryan is still cautious and doesn't like to get his face wet, but loved playing with cousins on the stairs. Joshua wasn't crazy about the water at first, but was so tired he fell asleep in my arms in the pool.

Parade on the 4th (7-08)

We had a fun 4th of July this year. We started in off with red, white and blue pancakes at Aunt Jean's house. Then we got ready for our big parade. GG looked so cute in her big hat. The kids all had a blast decorating their bikes and scooters and then parading down the street for all the adults. They even through candy to us!

Fun in the Sun 6-08

The kiddie pool was a big hit with Ryan this summer. Justin didn't play in it too much and Joshua never let me put him in without screaming. He did enjoy standing around the edge and splashing and playing with toys. Mostly, it was Ryan and my thing to do together this summer. We would put Joshua down for a nap, Justin would go play at a friend's house and Ryan and I would go outside and play. Well, he would play and I would sit in a chair next to the pool and read or talk with him.

Ryan playing Tee Ball (6-08)

Ryan really enjoyed his first season of Tee ball and of course was all smiles through the season. He wants to try soccer next. Wow, our boys love to play sports. Who would have ever thought with Jeff as the dad and me as the mom? I don't know how we are going to do it if Ryan and Justin keep up with it and then Joshua starts. Oh know, what if we have another boy? All those practices and games! Holy Cow!

Goodey Reunion Camping Trip (6-08)

Our camping trip was an interesting one. We got rained out and had to come home early. I am so glad we let the kids make smores the first night and got a few pictures of them enjoying themselves. I felt crappy the whole time because I was 7 weeks pregnant. Jeff had asthma. It got supper cold in the night and I was shivering like crazy. I was just so glad we had left baby Joshua in the warmth of Grammy and Grampy's house. He would have been miserable. It was great to see the Idaho Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. We are just sad it got cut short and we had to pack a Suburban full of muddy clothes, shoes and camping gear to come home. It was a mess! At one point we had 33 people huddled under one canopy. I think next year will be better, I can't wait!

Ryan's Graduation from 3 year old Preschool (5-08)

I know, I know - Ryan has already started his 4 year old preschool and here I am posting his Graduation from May. I am just OCD and can't post my new pictures until I've posted the old ones. Ryan was so cute on his graduation day. He sang his whole song without missing a word. He was all smiles of course, as always. His teacher told me the thing she was going to miss the very most about this school year was seeing his huge smile every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She has been teaching preschool for several years and says she has never met a kid who smiles more than our little Ryan.

Utah Renaissance Festival (5-08)

The boys had a great time at the Ren Fest in May. Ryan rode his first pony and enjoyed it. Every other time he's had the chance he would freak out and cry and refuse to get on the pony. This time he was brave and LOVED it. The jousting was so cool and the boys were completely amazed. They got to play lots of fun games, make their own swords, get face paintings, and eat home-made kettle corn which they gobbled up. My mom kept little Joshua for the day. It was so much fun. I would recommend a Renaissance Festival to anyone wanting to have a great day!

Baby in a basket 5-08

I know it has been a long time since I've posted. These pictures are from May. I'm a little behind, but planning on catching up quickly. I just down loaded my pictures from May, June and July so I should be posting regularly again. Joshua was a little shocked when he fell over backwards.
